    Hi All,

I’m trying to locate the War Diaries of my Great Uncle’s unit. He served in 47 MPFC, RASC, which I translate as Mobile Petrol Filling Company. The only war diaries I can find are for Mobile Petrol Centre. Is this the same unit or something completely different?

He served with them from March 1944- July 1945.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Mobile Petrol Filling Centre is correct. I do not see a Mobile Petrol Filling Company for 1944/45.

I suspect these are the war diaries for them, listed as Petrol Filling Centre RASC:

    Thanks for the replies.

When I searched the National Archives I could only find the Centres, but wasn't 100% sure they were the right ones.

    Thanks also for the photographs.

My Great Uncle trained as a welder.

Are these Units Army troops or Corps troops?

    Thanks,
