Thank you Paul for bringing this to our attention. I join with him in urging every member of the Forum to write as suggested. Not just because both my Father and Uncle Frank (the test umpire) served in WW I - everyone living today owes a never to be forgotten debt to the thousands who rest forever at home and in foreign soil and to those who names are inscribed on memorials because their bodies were never found. I am reminded, as should the people who contemplated destroying the records, "the hell where youth a laughter go". Gerry
Thanks Gerry and Kieron. I suspect that the WFA will need to raise some money at some point to help support this project, so I will keep you informed. But it is good news - these records really should not be lost.
