The above photo was taken when my father was presented at Richmond airbase in New South Wales with the plaque and serial plate of his recovered Typhoon wreckage. He was honoured that day for his courage behind enemy lines but refused to accept the accolade, sating the farmers who saved him alone deserved that. it hangs proudly on the wall in my home for all to see and for me to remember.
