This is a machine translation, certainly not perfect but at least it makes sense.
"The chassis and bodywork of the KDF offer a harmonious performance while avoiding anything superflous, which make longer rides comfortable for both drivers and passengers. The independence between each axle results in an almost unchanged center of gravity, regardless of whether the car is occupied by the driver alone, or by five people and the new design of the suspension allow each wheel to oscilate independently, preventing the car from tilting sideways in turns".

I just picked up this book which was part of a large group of HJ photos. As I went through it there is a great chapter on the the Volkswagen. First time that I have seen so much information in one book. Here are just a few and hope you enjoy.

The face of this motor vehicle will soon be known to everyone.

With the KDZ Wagon, the driver can really whine on his journeys through nature "Strength through joy" for everyday wor. Doesn" he look like a beetle on a blooming forest meadow?

Looking again at this thread, I now recall seeing this photograph from ATB's article on Major Hirst's involvement in the resurrection of Volkswagen manufacturing. The photograph shows the first roll off of Bettles under Major Hirst control of the start up of Volkswagen.
