    I like that Peter. And we think our lives are ruled by beaurocracy these days?
    The notes for taking equipment on 'call-up' are interesting. Haven't heard of some of the AG (anti gas?) items.

    Five nights a week seems a lot for late 1943. I think most units did at least two nights a week and then weekends.

    The anti gas cape would help prevent gas being absorbed into the material of your battledress and after the gas attack then being re absorbed into your body, I assume.
