Hard to say Pieter, i have a few pages of 23 Field Ambulance, no names and if then only from Officers. Its like a normal diary as we know, how the weather is and what they did during the day.
Set up of their HQ, visits of high ranked people, that kind of things. And it was during a heavy battle this part of the diary.

But only pages, if we would have a FULL set of the wardairy maybe we see more.

For me its still a mystery how and what and where they reported casualty status back to the respective units.

It's a mystery as well for us, Bedee, how the basic casualty reporting was done. Thanks for taking a look. Pieter

While working on something else I took a look at the 3 Cdn Div diary on the chance something might have been mentioned. Nothing unfortunately.

My next NA visit has been knocked back by a few months - likely in January. You find the files refs and I'll order them.

Thank you Wapen. Here is the information on the two records at Kew for two WW1 Canadian soldiers that we hope you are able to photograph when you will be in London. Neither soldier made it back home. Henry Warburton Stewart died of Spanish flu in Germany while he was with the post-war occupation forces. He's buried in Cologne. Arthur Leigh Collett died in a battle in France and is buried in a small cemetery there, Grandcourt Road Cemetery. I've included below the catalogue description with the Reference numbers you will need to order the files.
