  1. Hello again,
As we seem to be on a Spifire theme, heres a couple of pics of my 1/72nd Spit PRXI based at Mount Farm near RAF Benson.
Im afraid its not technically correct as I converted it from a Mk IX, but didnt file off the cannon blisters!
    Anyway I enjoyed making it.

    Hope you like it.

    Keep kit bashing!

    Regards

    Nice job. Very clean build.

Somehow the Spit just doesn't look the same with the stars on it, instead of the British roundels.

I don't think it's the "Stars" that look wrong, so much as the Silver paint.

    It's a similar thing with the P51 Mustang's.
They don't look right in "camo" paint with the British roundels either.

Spitfires should be in Camo' paint and roundels, Mustangs should be "shiny" silver with stars.

Or am I just being "Old Fashioned". :D

    Nice Job BTW Mark.

Very nice Job indeed! I can't get the angle from your photos, but did you deepen the chin behind the Spit's prop to reflect the enlarged oil tank as fitted to the Spitfire PR XI?
