Yes, I've had the same problem. Been using Mr. Firefox for the past several days.

    Jeff,

According to the Computer records it updated on the 6th, three days ago.

There I was, thinking that I had broken my Puter!!

Very reassuring to know it was not my fault this time!

    Regards
    Tom

If you haven't already I would suggest you change your browser away from IE (whatever number it is). Having deleted IE11, and reverted to IE10 a trojan had got into my system that knocked my 'Avast' that I had to reinstate. It was a head scratching 2 days of 'why wont it do what I tell it do' until I changed away from IE.

Woops, sorry Von Poop (for my PM) - it looks like a known problem regarding pasting into threads and I think that I also might have the IE11 malaise.......

    Now to fix it..............................................

I finally gave up on my problem with not being able to paste text into posts by installing Firefox - my daughter has been nagging me for ages anyway saying it's a better system.

    So far, so good.

    Tip:
I was a hard core user of Firefox since it came out. My Website / Email Tech Support chap gave me a one minute, eye opening, tech lecture on why Google Chrome is much faster, better, less prone to crashes (particularly YouTube Video related.) He was right, I am impressed. Not letter perfect but...
Keep that in the back of your mind if you run into my problems (Frequent crashes, annoying slowness etc etc on Firefox.)

    Same for me

Used Explorer - gave problems, Firefox a bit better but still so many crashes, I limited myself to a short sentence or two - by now it would already have crashed.

Google Chrome used for over 6 months (cross fingers) not a single crash (also seems to correct my typos - don't know how or why but very welcome)

I have run Firefox for about a year now with both sites and never experienced a single glitch. Rather good for me since glitches seem to like hunting me down.

Wife running Linux Mint on her laptop (free and not bad), me with Windows 7 and now a gift from my girls Windows 8.1 - I got the bottle of 15 year Morangie from them too. Trying to search what is left of the grey matter to see if I upset them during the year - 8.1? - Well here goes on a new desktop.

To get a bottle of Morangie - really means that you DIDN'T do anything wrong - otherwise they would drink it themselves - all I had was a new keyboard and they

didn't drink my stock of Laphroig….which is getting older...

    Cheers

Getting a box with Windows 8.1 which has not exactly been greeted with glee by the world of geek made me beg the question. Methinks the Morangie is to temper any possible future conflict with me and my pc running this new beasty - Windows 8. Moderately tempered as I am, the possibility that I may revert to my early life of aircraft engineering and wish to investigate the aerodynamic properties and flight envelope of a new desktop projected into the flower borders from my study window. Already courting this new OS with youtube tutorials (from the safety of windows 7) with such delights as 'know your apps - touch screen or mouse' - clear as ditch water! My girls did once buy me a 25 year - after reminding them that will writers become more generous after the experience. I was drinking the Morangie before it became the more well known tipple it is now. One fine day the company sergeant major called me in, 'seen this?' a crate of whisky a gift to the sgts' mess from the plc. it was late in the day so off duty, JHC it was 'firewater' non malt with a picture of the poet on the label, tripping down my throat with less than delicate progress wearing spikes, amber vindaloo in liquid - maybe good for mixing - which is way outside my compass, putting anything in the tender work of years must rate as sacrilege some say water brings out the best in a malt - odd world. Many a good American friend and the only time I eye them with suspicion is when they utter those words from a world apart - 'on the rocks buddy' - what now?

    The delightful:

this yank learned to savor fine whiskys the proper way, under the tutelage of an older "gentleman" from scotland.
