    pity that so many film clips were used more than once

    Thanks Paul that was a real cracker. My father was in the trenches in WW1, didn't say too much but the excavated trenches helped me to understand what he had to put up with.
    For many years my hobby was archaeology and spent a lot of time on digs, mostly Iron Age and Roman, but I think I would find archaeology on WW1 trenches too emotional.

    edit: not actually watching it now but shouting abuse at the sodding Channel5 on demand website.
    Bloody useless crappy thing.
    had the first advert break & then it stopped. :(

    I was wondering about him. WW1 not being my thing, is he a well known expert etc in the WW1 community? Current Maj or Ret?
