I must admit that I have never seen any photos like these before, and had very little knowledge of the barges and other vessels the Wehrmacht contemplated using in their cross-channel invasion in 1940. Not that by seeing them that I changed my idea of their attempt would be successful, but now I have a better appreciation of what went into their amphibious operations.
