    Hello

Just registered at this site. I'm also registered at http://www.ww2f.com/

I'm interested in history and am trying to gather more details into two of my Uncles who served in WW2.

    My Uncles are:

Herman Leishman - Private - B91605 - 5th Royal Canadian Medical Corp - Killed in action in Sicily Aug 3/43.

Reginald Leishman - Trooper - B102520 - South Alberta Regiment, 4th Canadian Armoured Division. He survived WW2 and passed away a few years ago. Photo attached showing my Uncle with members of the tank crews. He is middle row, second from the right (tall man). Supposedly he is the only one to survive from his tank crew.

I have a few letters and pictures from my Uncle Herman. Unfortunately I did not get any stories from my uncle Reg before he passed away. I don't believe he said anything to his family either.

It would be nice to get more details of what they went through (e.g. war diaries).

I received some very good info on the www.ww2f.com site (here: http://www.ww2f.com/topic/58331-researching-uncles-war-history/)

If anyone has any info please share.

    Regards
    Wayne
