My Uncle died very young and all the family kows about his war service is a photo of him wearing jungle uniform . Can anyone please get me started? All I know is - DENNIS JAMES PIKE MALMESBURY WILTSHIRE BORN 12/02/1915 MARRIED KATHLEEN BAKER J/F/Ma 1941 DIED 1961 AGE 46 Family rumour says he served in WILTSHIRE REGT & ROYAL SCOTS
Why not apply for his service records You have his name dob and death certificate all you need is £30 also if medals not claimed nok can claim them write to the medal office It’s free and they will tell you what medals were issued or if not the nok can claim again all you need is name dob and death certificate
Hi, Here is the link for his service file - Get a copy of military service records You don’t need to have an army service number as MOD will search on full name and DOB. Don’t pay for any “information” on internet sites. Just go to the official site. Yiu May need to return to the forum in due course for help to interpret the records. Good Luck. Steve
Sure you've got the right DOB? 1939 REGISTER 23 Bristol Street, Malmesbury M.B., Wiltshire Name - DOB - Occupation - Marital status Dennis O Pike - 15 Aug 1888 - Harness Maker, Boot Repairer - Married Emily Pike - 05 Aug 1890 - Daily Help - Married Dennis J Pike - 23 Feb 1915 - Handy Man, General Labourer - Single The record for this person is officially closed.
