U.S. XV Corps movements?

The unit history I am working on places it with the U.S. XV Corps in February 1944. In doing some research, I have learned that the XV Corps transfered to the U.S. Third Army on or about 1 August 1944. As General Patton moved east to his position south of the Faliase Pocket, Gen Haislip took the XV Corps HQ elsewhere and the U.S. V Corps under the U.S. First Army took over.

I am trying to close a gap in the timeline my units history and up against a tight deadline to submit my unit for the 2011 Distinguished unit of the Quartermaster Regiment. However, if it doest get submitted, will have it turned in for next year.

The unit being researched is the 563d QM Svc Bn, and I have posted a few questions regarding it on this forum. Also have submitted a request to the National Archives but have not received any response back. I have decided to try and follow the higher headquarters to track the movement of the unit across Europe durign WW2. Any information will be helpful.

I am looked through both, and took another look at the Third Army movements toward Le Mans. After looking around online (resources are a little limited in Afghanistan), I found a little more information, but it wasnt clear on whether the entire XV corps was taken over by the V Corps. My mind is a little fuzzy, but I am seem to remember a deal being struck sometime before or after Gen Bradley ordered the XV Corps to close the Faliase with the Canadiens, but ill have to go back and look again.
