Two nice Corbitt trucks

    Of course I like the virtually handbuilt British Scammels and AECs but the Corbitts are remarkably good looking and distinctive. The Diamond T and Mack variants are always popular but Corbitts have that 'je ne sais quoi'.

    Do you know if the Federals and Bidermanns USAAF wreckers were the same specs as the Corbitts? They look the same to me but I know this is one of your areas of expertise.

    Corbitt could not produce trucks in the quantity required so Federal, Bidermann and Reo produced vehicles to the same specification. They were not identical however. I think they would use parts from the same manufacturers catalogues and all used the same basic Hercules engine.

    Same with Sterlings? This picture says Sterling but it might be an Autocar.
