Kenneth is the last of the four men on Biggin By Hartington's war memorial killed during WW2. We would like some information on all the men for our forthcoming Poppy Festival. Currently they are all just names - we would very much like to give them an identity. Many thanks. Julia

As a Derbyshire 'tup' I think I can say with a high degree of certainty that If he's commemorated in Biggin by Hartington then his birth would have been registered in Ashbourne, not Chesterfield.

Thank you. I'll chase the death certificate - what a waste of a life - accidental death.

The fact that he's listed under 'Died' rather than 'Died Result of Accident' suggests that his death was the result of a medical event/illness. The death certificate should reveal all.
