    Hi Mick,
    Belated Happy Birthday.

We always buy Poppies in our family. Even though I am the oldest surviving member of "Quite a few" we all donate and proudly wear our Poppies.

Some also go to church and I make the occasional local Parade depending on how mobile I am.

    Regards, Mick D.

    Happy Birthday!

As Owen says, I planted some in July (wouldn't trust me with a paint brush!!). Definitely worth going to see if you have the opportunity. I believe the last one will be planted at 11am on 11th November.

Happy Birthday Nick. My wife planted some of the poppies a couple of weeks back, she went with some of her work colleagues.

    Wow guys,

    Thanks for the wishes.

Looked through the posts but did not find this about the Tower of London but going up next week for a looksee. Will post some pics. Looks really impressive. Any particular pics anyone wants?

The dedications also look really interesting.

    Regards,

    Nick

Would definitely like to see some more photos, please. We did our shift planting them on only the second day, so it must have changed considerably since then. They were just constructing the 'wave' part on the day we were there, so I'd be keen to see what it looks like now.

I am hoping to pop and have a look before the Festival of Remembrance in November, but not certain that I will have enough time.

I get a lump in my throat each time I look at them. Is there any significance to the shape? What a shame that it cannot be a permanent display.
