In answer to my own question, I have now found resource tools on British / Canadian map symbols and German map symbols: WW2 British /Canadian map symbols | WW2Talk New Resource - German tactical symbols | WW2Talk Original question: Please can someone advise me on the availability of any comprehensive official guides to the tactical symbols used to mark enemy positions on the 'defence overprint' copies of military maps..?
