Top drop-down ads

Okay a bit of a nuisance. There is now an ad that drops down from the top. The issue is that this only happens when I try to log-in and the ad covers the log-in windows. Even if I have filled in the user/password, I can't hit enter and when I click to clear the ad, I must reenter the information.

The bugger of all this is that the top-down ad only appears during log-in. Once in, all the drop-in ads comes from the bottom.

So why this ad at only that time?

I'm afraid I have zero control over the ads.
Looking at them recently while using the test profile some are rather out of hand.

You'd have to get Otto (the owner) to have a look.

I do get those, but you can drag down the log in bit again, or usually the ad has an arrow thingy which takes it back up.

Methinks a small inconvenience is worth it if it helps Otto to keep the forum running, and gives us non-patrons free access.

I hope he is at least seeing something in the way of advertising revenue.

Kind regards, not a cheapskate, just put RBL, Combat Stress, and Unicef contributions first for me (and I acknowledge that there are many other charitable organisations worthy of support), always.

    No reply from Otto.

I am aware of the arrows to retract the ads.

I understand the why of ads. It is just that all the others rise from the bottom except when one wishes to log-in. Then it comes from the top and is a nuisance. I have my suspicions of why and if true, I hope Otto receives more money for it than the other ads.
