Tom Lea, Pacific War Artist

    I watched a documentary this morning about War Correspondents, Cameramen and Artists and was overwhelmed by the work of a artist called Tom Lea. The Picture that caught my attention is below and some further links to some more of his work.

    Apparently he always landed with the first and second wave of Marines with just a rifle and sketch book. He'd draw rough sketches and complete his work later when the fighting had died down with the help of his sketches and memory.
