Sad news Spidge, at least they got the bastard.
Sympathy to Australia and the families involved. :poppy: :poppy: :poppy:

A while ago (as I am sure you heard) a rogue ANA soldier killed (I think) 5 British troops and as far as I know has never been caught.

Also 9 US soldiers and a Canadian. It's not the first time that an Afghan soldier has shot NATO troops. With people hiding under the guise of being soldiers I can't see them lasting for long after the pull out. A combination of the Taliban and corruption will finish off just about everything that has been accomplished there.

Will be a difficult situation for them to be in the future however they will work through it.

    Very sad indeed.

Just to add a lot of these Afghan soldiers that kill NATO troops are not Taliban or have any sympathies with them. Some of them are identified, leading to their families being kidnapped or killed by the Taliban and are given the option of kill some NATO troops or have your family slaughtered.

Not a situation I would ever want to be in. In the main all of my mates I've spoken to about them don't really have a bad word to say about them apart from some of their bravery borders on stupidity.

One summed it up for me rather well 'It's a shitty war in a shitty country, you're better off out of it mate'.
