Jonathan Ball It's a way of life.

I'm off to Crete again in August and the cover story in No.189 is a short walk not 10 minutes from my Apartment on foot. While plotting the location of the photos in Google Maps it's hard not be mightily impressed by the amount of patience and time that the various authors over the years put in to tracking the locations down.

It might have been becoming very niche with the topics covered but I don't half miss it.

    The PUBLISHER should feel shame.

I own just one of their books, the Desert War one. All I can say is "wow". It must be the heaviest book in my collection...

    New release:
'German Command Headquarters in the West'.
    Pallud.

German Command Headquarters in the West

    Can't deny, I'm tempted.
Wonder if they're leaning towards somehat lighter/affordable stuff, somewhere between the giant slabs & the magazine.
Think I could get with that. Same authors, who know what they're about.

    Nice.
I am getting a feeling that P&S do appreciate what they've acquired.
Willing to give them a while to work out the best way forward.
