    Hi,

I am trying to obtain information regarding my grandfather, who we are sure served in the RAF Volunteer Reserves at the later end of WW2. We have his service number as 1336601 and so far we have managed to find that he signed up in or around 1940 at Uxbridge or Weston Super Mare as the information tells us.

Is it possible for someone to point me in the right direction of where I can find more information please? Or reasons why we can't seem to find any more information.

    Many thanks,

    Richard.

The answer to your second question is easy - there is very little on the web for WW2 unless a person was particularly famous, was KIA, received a medal, or you are lucky.

Service records are the way to go.
