Have a look at the Paradata website mentioned in post #7 above, you may find something there that may help.

Hi Nadine and welcome to WW2Talk.
I asked Owen to open a new thread for you so your enquiry won't get lost.
Might be worth adding 'Arnhem' to the thread title to attract Airborne experts.
    Good luck,

    Mike

Might be worth adding 'Arnhem' to the thread title to attract Airborne experts.
added good point, I did think I ought to edit in airborne or similar but didnt until I read your post Mike.

thanks to everyone with the help you have given me,i have found out he d ied on the 23rd sept, but no other information of what happened to him after he landed in arnhem, obviously they knew he died that day,but how we dont know.would be great if i could find out what happened from the time he was in arnhem to the time he was killed and what happened during the time he was there.there was another gunner with him ,leslie larkin 14542852 he was killed on the 21st september ,he has a grave so between the two days after he was killed stan was ,leslie was from birmingham.if anyone knows anything about him ,maybe this could help me.thanks again to everyone

It seems that there is a mistake some where, as CWGC site mention he came from Birmingham

To gain some general info on the 1st A/T Battery you might like to try and find a copy of The Gunners at Arnhem by Peter Wilkinson......then there is also Point Blank by John Howe - but this is quite hard to find now.....

I don't think 2nd Anti Tank Battery information would help out in this case

I attach a copy of the casualty list (deaths) which was compiled by an Officer (Lt Col Halford?) who collected the list of names from the various hospitals in the Arnhem area. It is dated about 30th October and was probably brought back to Allied lines by Major Tony Hibbert when he escaped on Pegasus 1.
You will see Stan Warwick's name is nine from the end of the second column. This would suggest that he died in one of the dressing stations/hospitals.
Sadly I cannot find any further information at this time.
