Von Poop, that's pic's hilarious Stalin's Organ lolololol Yeeeeeah you can't waste chances to rub it in Use every one you've got I'm so fed up of criticism that the USSR and the Red Army and the Russian people as a whole have been getting, in the Cold War and afterwards) I mean, the nation won a war, they beat Hitler, and bam, right afterwards they're going to war with their former allies and the whole world starts to hate them 4 legendary years of history down the drain, basically. It's all resurfacing now, but all the negative aspects that were afloat in the XX century and were the only point of discussion are still mainly the topics that are talked about. I mean, I can't watch any WWII movie after I saw 'Enemy At The Gates'. That was vile, putrid stuff. To spit at human history like that with the goal of selfishly making money... Urgh. Hollywood, what can I say. Well, that was a bit off topic. I get carried away like that sometimes Well, this section's called 'The Barracks' and it says I can rant on about whatever I like so you can't really blame me

Hollywood, what can I say. Do you not think that the Soviets themselves hold any or most of the blame, as secretive as they were for nearly 50 years after the war? Why did it take 50+ years for any verified information on the fate of Adolf Hitler's body to be made public? And that is just one example. You reap that which you sow. If you withhold information, it does not get noticed.
Surely if it hadn't been for the Molotov - Von Ribbentrop pact giving him some breathing space, Hitler would never have dared to start the whole damned thing in the first place ? Stalin wasted no time in invading Poland and was on Nazi Germany's side until things went wrong for him. It is no reflection on the peoples of the former Soviet Union but the rôle of their leaders is nothing to be proud of in my opinion.
I thought he was a d*** ... And as for invading Poland, this could be looked at as recovering territories lost during the 1920 war. Countries do that at times, going to war to recover lost territory. Look at Romania, for instance. They went to war against the Soviet Union to recover Bessarabia and only stopped at Stalingrad! Wow! Bessarabia (roughly Moldova) now extended to the Volga! There's a lot of mudslinging to be thrown about in this business, and seeing a Brit criticising others for the crime of "empire building", well...

Oh you want to sling mud eh ? Britain at least didn't side with Nazism to gain territory and going back a bit further, it did its best to stop Bonaparte from annexing Portugal (Gib was a bonus of course). Much as I dislike the term 'Brit' (It always seems to be spat out with a Gerry Adams inflexion), it doesn't bother me too much. My kids aren't and I don't belong anywhere anymore.
My apologies, no idea the term 'Brit' could be seen as offensive, I used it only for convenience sake. As for keeping Boney from annexing P., no doubt Her Majesty's Government was completely disinterested Not to mention Gen. William Beresford quasi-viceroyalship post-war Shall we discuss religion now?
Oh, give the man a break, he's even a fan of the Detroit Pistons, God knows why Detroit Pistons? That is basketball, correct? Ten people running around in baggy shorts and a wifebeater, bouncing a ball and trying to throw it through a hoop with a net on it? Never heard of them. It is no reflection on the peoples of the former Soviet Union but the rôle of their leaders is nothing to be proud of in my opinion. That is why I used the term "Soviet", instead of "Soviet Union" or "Russians" (or Georgians, given Stalin's birthplace), to differentiate between the people themselves and the peckerheads that were running the place at the time. I could have just as easily used "bolsheviks" or "henious, psychopatic, sociopathic, narcissistic, death merchant, bass-turd SOBs", but that would have been a tad long. I fully respect the Soviet men & women who defeated Nazism but Stalin was a c***. Aye, you're right. As you can tell, I have no love for Marxism/Leninism/Stalinism/Maoism or any other similar "ism." I hold them in the same high regard as Hitler, Goebbels and Himmler.
Oh lordy, you've just provided a source for the more rotund fallschirmjager reenactors of this world...

Oh I see (Puts on his Basil Fawlty Voice), thats what the empire was for was it??? Thanks for keeping Ireland safe from the clutches of the dastardly French!!! To be fair, the term "Brit" is a bit over-used and spat out by republicans but thankfully they are becoming more marginalised. Mr. Adams is less vocal these days thanks to what is fast becoming, a sinister family scandal. Where were we? oh yeah Empire building. Im pretty much agreed with Rich that Stalin and his cohorts have little to be proud of but the Soviet Soldier and the Army? Shout from the rooftops about their achievements. They were almost destroyed from external and internal enemies and Still managed to repulse the German Army and defeat it in the East.
Argh! A reenactor! Hans and Fritz waiting outside the Vinnitsa branch of Weightwatchers. Hans isnt sure if he's gained or lost weight this week.
