Have you noticed the change in the flavour of this site. It is becoming VERY international. It seems that many of you are interested in fields anew. Particularly photos of eastern Europe. I have changed my mind on what to write this winter. I think I can create an amusing book about my European travels. No more critics or editors with PhD poring over every detail. I think I could rival Alan Whicker if I try. During the 1970's decade I was flying up to forty flights a year. It was an inspirational time. DC9, BAC111,Trident,. The Jumbo Jets spoiled it all with huge queues of tourists. I had one trip on a DC10 just after the Paris disaster and one on a 747 and that was that. I got married, that's how bad it got! Another option is the run up to WW2. The social change and political upheaval. The call to serve the country and the excitement of training for war before things became serious. I have plenty of material for this too. Life is becoming depressing we all need a good laugh.
