This Is Your Life 25th January 1978, The central figure was Brigadier Dame Margot Turner,D.B.E R.R.C. former Matron- in -Chief of Queens Alexandras Royal Army Nursing Corps. Herself a prison camp survivor I have a special interest in this, it was at the end of this show, when the Japanese prison camp survivors where invited to sing, together the Captives Hymn written in the camp, it reduced everybody to tears, from that, the book Women Beyond The Wire was written, and then Tenko for television. Is it likely there is a copy of this, that for me would fulfil a long felt want, picture is of Mavis Allgrove nee. Capt. Mavis Hannah, who appeared in the program, a camp survivor. regards lofty

This snippett might help finding Wing Commander Mackintosh a bit easier;) Unlike many of its contemporaries 622 Squadron was reformed post-war as a Royal Auxiliary Air Force transport squadron at RAF Blackbushe on 15 December 1950. It now operated Valettas and consisted of a nucleus of regular pilots and Radio Officers drawn from local firm Airwork Ltd. This proved to be a success[6], and the squadron operated in the Suez conflict[1][2] . The squadron disbanded again on 30 September 1953 due to costing. The C/O was the famous WING COMMANDER BOB MCINTOSH, (All weather Mac) who was, previous to this, the Chief Pilot of Airwork Ltd. The crews had two weeks a year extra training at RAF Dishforth where two of its Radio Officers,P/O Abrahams and P/O Jellett achieved the rare RAF VIP standard.No. 622 Squadron RAF - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia There is also a book called 'All weather Mac'

I will put that to the guys and see what they have to say about it.The microfiche of the script might throw up something, will get to check when they next go to Caversham.

Hi all, just happened on this, re TONY DEANE-DRUMMOND

Just Towards the end of the 1950's, he was promoted to Brigadier and took over command of 44th Parachute Brigade (TA) from John Frost, who was later destined to play the deceitful friend who brought Deane-Drummond to London under false pretences before handing him over to Eamonn Andrews, presenter of the This Is Your Life television programme; for his trouble, Frost received the customary bout of good humoured curses. A British gliding champion and author of the book, Return Ticket, Tony Deane-Drummond concluded his military career at the rank of Major-General.

Sorry if its already covered previously, shown December the 12th 1960
