With respect to the DVD copies you require, send an email to me through he forum email and I will pass them onto Owen on your behalf.
It's OK Geoff, I'm back and have now read all my PMs. Two lots are in the post already and 51Highland's will be posted Monday. I still have a couple of lots left if anyone wants them.
Richard, Yours is wrapped up ready to post tomorrow. Two sets of the 6 DVDs left if anyone wants them.
Hi Owen - somehow I seemed to have missed this thread; I would very much like any spare ones you have; will drop you a PM via both sites. What a great chap you are!
Owen,a little late in asking. Is there a set still available? If so would I be able to have a set please?
Just been watching the Pincers one, great to see interview with Horrocks on there. Manteuffel too. I was amazed to see Albert Speer in other episodes as well as the Japanese chap who planned Pearl Harbor attack. This is a series that just couldn't be made nowadays. Anyway, Marcus has sent me his addy, I'll post them later. All the sets are gone now, except my own.
Cheers Owen. I'll stick a some money in the poppy appeal tin later. There's one at my corner shop. cheers marcus

I was amazed to see Albert Speer in other episodes as well as the Japanese chap who planned Pearl Harbor attack. I really don't reckon anyone will ever make a series about the war to beat it. 1974 was just the perfect time to make it, close enough for plenty of the real personalities to still be around to give their perspective, check out the names that appeared as 'himself': "The World at War" (1974) (mini) - Full cast and crew Donitz, Mountbatten, JB Priestley, Speer, Spears, etc. etc. (narrated by Olivier's not too shabby either!) There might be mild historical debate about some of the history presented in the light of more modern research, but it still stands as a blinding bit of testimony and just about the only really decent survey of the entire war that television's yet managed. Cheers, Adam.
Just a public thank you to Owen for this; I am sure we would all agree it was decent of him to offer these out to everyone. Thanks, mate!
We have the full set on VHS at the public library. Used to get them out three at a time. Has to be the the ultimate or as close as you can get.

Another member (who I'll spare his blushes by not naming) just contacted me out of the blue and asked if I wanted some stuff sending on flamethrowing Pz.III's he'd noticed at the national archives (once my kids are both at school I've definitely got to make an effort to visit, some other stuff this chap provided a while back was one of the most interesting tank-related documents I've read). You know who you are . Cheers mate!
