Spent some of this morning setting up the Resource Manager a little more.
    Resources | WW2Talk

I think this might be a biggie as concerns one of the key points of WW2Talk's existence:
    - Sharing WW2-related 'stuff', particularly the fruits of individual's work or projects -

    Basically a file upload/download system.
Upload limits a little skinny at the mo, but will be upping those quite a bit.

Some shockingly good 'project' work has been done by chaps here over the years.
But... The final results of those labours are sometimes a little buried within threads.
Threads are brilliant for discussion and work as they always have been - no need at all to change that, but maybe nice to have a clearer place to eventually present work done.
(Forums can be a tad confusing, or even intimidating, to some people. People who may be exactly the target of some wholesome research-y goodness. And... starting with a file may well lure more people to engage with the slightly more daunting chat on serious threads.)
This could be a place to create some sort of finished/ongoing file that can be shared, worked on by the creator, or even made accessible for collaborative edits by a group of people.
(The putative wiki-style pages at ww2.Org also part of this potential.)

It can swallow most file types, from Spreadsheets to Pdfs, and I think even Powerpoint presentations.
(Other file types can be added quite easily if required too.)

If anyone is lacking software to create uploadable files from their data, I'd personally recommend Google's free online tools. Stable, capable of conversion to most main formats, and... errr... Free.
Google Docs - create and edit documents online, for free.
Google Sheets - create and edit spreadsheets online, for free.
Google Slides - create and edit presentations online, for free.
Google Forms - create and analyze surveys, for free.

Lots of fiddling to do with the setup.
Need to get my head around how collaborative editing works etc., but do feel free to have a play with it as setup continues.
Categories have been kept deliberately slim for this setup period - will doubtless add more, but want to do so slowly/cautiously to maintain maximum clarity.

Boring bit: - Consider Copyright when uploading a file. ©®

As ever; all thoughts, abuse, etc. welcome.
