    Dear All,
I hope I have posted this enquiry in the correct location. I am the author and on-going editor of the above named book. As the rank/appointment of RSM in the RM was really only formalised circa WW2 I quickly realised that the Register would be a rather thin volume so since I first gifted the Register to the Corps when I retired (from the RM) I have since spent many hours both updating it and pushing the catchment area back in time. It now includes all those who held ranks with a similar function to the modern RSM. i.e. Sgt's Maj (WO1), Sgt's Maj, RM Gunners etc. The Register tells the development of the rank of not only the RM RSM but also RM Sgt Maj etc. In addition it contains career details and photographs of hundreds of individuals.

I am writing to ask that if when you are completely absorbed in the your own personal research and you happen to come across any names or photos of Royal Marine RSM's, Sgts Maj, RM Gunners etc. from any time in WW2 would you keep me in mind. I would love to hear from you. Or if you already have any information you would be willing to share - again I would love to hear from you.
I hope this message finds you all in fine form and thank you all in anticipation
    Yours Aye
    George F
