I've never come across this before, but somebody has uploaded a large collection of wartime photographs of Italy. The interface is--frankly--rubbish, but the content is entirely unseen. There are obviously many pictures of French troops, but also a good number of landscapes and city shots which will be of interest to some here--I came in at the numerous Cassino shots. For every three annoyingly blurry pictures, there's something of interest. The wartime gallery proper starts at photograph No. 49 and there's even a video of a ceremony (I think in Sienna) lurking in the middle. Later material is of France, post liberation.
