This is truly sad news, Sue was an expert in her research field and extremely generous in helping people with their enquiries. My sincere condolences to her family.

Terribly sad news. I had a the pleasure of speaking to Sue on several occasions and the National Archives. My condolences to her family.

I am so sorry to learn that Sue died many years ago now. I was about to write her to find out how to get permission to publish a document she found about my mother's service in the VAD (photo of my mother and uncle to the left). Sue and I exchanged several email message when I started the research for what will (fairly) soon be a book, and she was always extraordinarily kind and helpful. I am very grateful to her, and miss her wise counsel.
