    a MUSEUMS AT NIGHT event

Original artworks for Second World War propaganda posters, sketches by First World War soldiers fighting on the front line, and colourful, intricately illustrated maps from the height of Britain’s Empire will all be on display at our next Archives at Night event, the Art of War.

You’ll see works ranging from some of the most famous and iconic images of war to intimate, rarely seen depictions of individual experiences on display for the very first time.

    The night will include:
•A display of original art and documents from our repositories
•Experts on hand to tell the stories behind the art
•Special insights by our Collection Care team on the delicate work that goes into preserving these beautiful items
•An exclusive chance to see Battle of the Somme arts project Changing the Landscape after hours with the artist, Sarah Kogan, delivering talks throughout the evening
•The opportunity to watch the sun go down while enjoying a range of drinks from our balcony bar
    •Live music

Please note this is an adults only event (18+).

Our Archives at Night events are always hugely popular, so book now to guarantee your place.
