I'm finding this woman Lilya Litvak to be interesting. She was a Soviet fighter pilot who scored 11 kills. It's not clear if she either 1) Died in combat 2) Was killed on the ground by German troops after a forced landing 3) Was taken in captivity after a forced landing. Her body was supposedly finally found and exhumed in 1985 (I think) but many claim that she was alive and well and living in Switzerland by that time, people claiming to have seen her on Soviet TV in the 1980's!!!
