There are a few entries in the SRY War diary.... with "OUDENNARD" 4th September 1944 A Sqn to proceed immediately to OUDENNARD and B Sqn to KHERKOV. Their orders were to cover the bridges over the river at these places and prevent any enemy crossing over the river and moving South towards RENNAIX. We are now 25 miles from Bde and the only tps in RENNAIX – where we had a tremendous reception from the population. 5th September 1944 A Sqn went again to OUDENARDE and captured some 100 P.O.W.
