I was browsing some other forums and saw this link from Prince Charles's visit to India earlier this month: http://www.express.co.uk/news/royal/442260/Prince-Charles-and-Camilla-mark-Remembrance-Sunday-at-a-church-in-Mumbai This can't be correct, surely there must be a fair few veterans left from WW2, especially when you think of all those Indian Divisions which made up the 14th Army alone.
Some mistake the press have made. There are still a handful of veterans who participate the Burma campaign. regards, Raj.
Thanks Raj, I thought it could not be correct, even by the law of averages there must have been more surviving veterans. I just heard this morning that one of the last surviving Longcloth Chindits passed away on Saturday, he was exactly 100 years old. best wishes Steve
