I've once again failed to buy a copy of this book for a sensible price after a year of looking and the only option that remains available (out of range for libraries) is £85 plus almost £20 to get it to me in pretty crappy condition. What's more, although it looks broadly interesting throughout, I only need to see twenty pages and probably fewer than half of them will be directly relevant. If anybody has a copy of the book and can provide pages 143-163 (Chapter Eight: The Post-War Years) I'll owe them a favour and be extremely grateful. This is the elusive fish: Edit: Could be worse, I suppose. The author's book on Malta is even more expensive.
I have reached out to two friends who are Hong Kong history readers (one is an author) and asked for a favour if they have the book.
