    Lee,
If it had not been for the GWF being off line I would not have you!
Putting this forum into my favs and will be again soon.
Looks good and while I am mainly interested in the Great War I will be needing some expert advice soon I'm sure as my daughter is doing History for GCSE and next term I think they start on WW11.

Lee - as you know, my main interest is WW1. But, if I may say so, this site has so much going for it. Thanks to all who made me feel welcome.
    I will be back.
As some Mac guy said - sorta - in WW2.

Its back; Chris says it was a mistake on the part of the server and he still doesn't know why...
BUT very slow loading tonight. With my short attention span I may give it a miss until its sorted and get my forum fix here.
Seriously, I hope it is fixed soon and I'm sure Chris is doing his best.

All is well that ends well.

Yes, we all certainly owe a big vote of thanks to Lee - and to Chris and the people on other forums some of us visit - for all the work they do inj their own time and the resulting enyojment we all get from it.

So, thanks Lee (and Chris if you read this).

Is there another problem with the GWF? I've just tried to access it and get a strange message about it not being connected to a server, at least I think that's what it said!

    Just tried it. No problems.

It may be that they are having some technical difficulties this week at the server end. Happens.

The reason why the GWF went down - and remember that it was at the end of the month - was that they exceeded the bandwidth limit. I suppose that is always a risk, as the price of increasing the bandwidth is more £££ to the host.

I haven't been able to get into the Great War Forum (aka The Long, Long Trail, 1914-1918.net) for a couple of nights. Does anyone else of those of you inhabit both that forum and this, know what's going on? Is Chris doing repairs or have they been hacked again?

It's been working OK for me, Lyndon had trouble getting it but I sent him a PM from GWF which I think gave him a different access route into it.
Adrian seee if you can get to your GWF profile via this link.

It's ok now Owen, I can get into LLT, (1914-1918.net) now. It seems the server problem has been sorted!
    Thanks again for help mate!

Anyone else having trouble with this site at present - logging on as a member and accessing a thread when a guest?
    Best wishes,
    David
