Hi all. Not sure if this is in the right section, feel free to move it. Ok in Liverpool there is an old Barracks called The Grange, On Edge Lane Drive. Im going up to get some pics in a bit. The back of the barracks is way older than the front. I have tried google for info on the barracks but not much coming up. It was a TA centre until a few years back and the Liverpool Scottish regiment Museum was housed here until 2008. It looks empty now but I am told it is a Grade 2 listed building? So it should be saved. I want to ask if anyone knows who operated out of here during WW2, it must have been used then. I think the back part is that old it may have been in use during WW1? HQ, 233rd, 234th (Howitzer), 235th, 236th (Howitzer) (West Lancashire) Medium Btys: HQ The Grange, Edge Lane, Liverpool Previously part of the Royal Garrison Artillery, this Territorial Army unit was based at The Grange, Edge Lane, Liverpool. It served with the British Expeditionary Force in France in 1940, and then served in North West Europe in 1944 and 1945

Headquarters, The Grange, Edge lane." 1908 1:2,500 OS map* shows "Drill Hall" well-detached behind "The Grange" 1927 1:2,500 OS map* - as 1908 (only in a newer mapping style) 1937 TA recruitment poster lists "59th (4th W. Lancs.) Med. Bde. R.A." ...
