I've wrote a brief article with pictures on that incident on here under a thread called 'Walking in the footsteps of the BEF' amongst the 3 (I think) retreating units was Sappers (a member) Royal Engineer Company and the Guards Officer who turned them around was awarded a Military Cross for his efforts.
