Following contact with Harry Fecitt, who in the past posted here, he provided a link to a joint lecture (1h 12m) to the Kohima Educational Trust (KET), minus a date, I expect it is recently in 2023. The text explains: From: The East African contribution to Victory in Burma - Kohima Educational Trust The link includes the speakers bios, a two volume book by Harry and a link to an article 'The 1st Battalion The Northern Rhodesia Regiment (1 NRR) in 1944': Request Rejected I did look to see if there was a suitable thread on the division - there wasn't a specific thread.
There's a fair bit under the KAR banner: http://ww2talk.com/index.php?search/21139047/&q="African+rifles"&o=relevance
Idler, yes there is, mainly from memory on the West African divisions and individual units. Not the East Africans.
The 15th Heavy Anti-Aircraft Regiment, East African Artillery served in India and Burma, arriving at Chittagong from Kenya on 2nd December 1944. The Regiment's 155th H.A.A. Battery served at Akyab between 27th March until 27th August 1945. The Regiment returned to East Africa in October 1945.
I've now sorted the early details (mostly) of the 15th H.A.A. Regiment, E.A.A. and attach an updated history.
