Well, what did you think about LSU and it's surroundings? Yes, it's already gag-a-maggot hot in May around here. Just be glad that y'all weren't here in June, July, August and September. Hurricanes, heat, humidity, mosquitoes running amok. Good thing we have cold beer, chilled ersters (oysters) on the half shell, boiled shrimp and soft shell crabs out the wazoo to help survive the sub-tropical assault.

Kind of reminds me of the saying, "I got nothing to do, and all day to do it".

I specifically asked if it was a good working faceshield when I ordered it ...

“I don’t believe that we are relations.” Our only similarities are we both have riding mowers and we cut grass for free.

I find that my new mask gives me at least 30 feet of distancing:

Louisiana is certainly interesting. It's not really like anywhere else in the US that I can think of, or at least the part I saw isn't. To me, New Orleans looked and felt more like a Caribbean or even an African city than an American one. I got off in the bus station to change to go to Baton Rouge at about 6 in the morning. I was exhausted and starving and the only thing open in the station was a greasy spoon breakfast and lunch counter. I ate red beans and rice and I think sausage and it was GOOD. Imagine that, where else in America could you get a good meal in a bus station? That's the French heritage for you.

On our sanctioned one-per-day walk we got to a part of Burbage village we'd not walked through before and spotted a couple of WW2 related signs and the local war memorial.

    On the Sycamore pub -

Thought the link to the Dambusters pilot was a bit tenuous !

    Ice out!
Under normal circumstances, as the ice recedes from our northern lakes, this would be the first weekend to get a canoe in the water and take a first crack at the lake trout. Some lost opportunities hurt more than others.

Are you not allowed to go out into the wilderness ? ... there is hardly a risk for getting infected or infecting another person over there.
