I’m not sure Robert. Probably felt he should not have mentioned it in front of my dad. Need not have worried, dad is a tough character.
Because that is what the doctor said his choice to use those words makes him feel better perhaps telling patients
Speaking of immune systems, many years ago I was in a long line in one of the restrooms at Yankee Stadium. One of the guys in front of me had a big plastic cup of beer in one hand and a large soft pretzel in the other. I wasn't really paying attention but I guess I assumed he would put his beer down on top of the urinal. Nope. He hung his pretzel on the urinal handle.
True and it still is in some remote parts of the world. But believe me, urine is one of the cleaner things in a public bathroom in the Bronx.
Early indications are, even if you pull through, for some it may reduce lung functions. I'll be interested to see the data on immune system impacts given the virus enters your cells like the AIDS virus. Thought this was an interesting interview on the Rachel Maddow show with Dr. Ho I think is name is Twitter also being creative with the charts
After allowing the Cheltenham Festival (Horse Racing) to take place over the last week, it was considered to be a success. It would have scuppered the local economy, but at what cost to public health. We shall see!! Really quiet in the shops today. There is a car park close to Gloucester Docks, which is normally full by 09-00 hours. At 11-00 am (now) it is only one third full and not cold here at all. Did a shop today at 07-25 am, to avoid people and it was almost empty of people for a change. Everything was well stocked, apart from toilet rolls and they were sold out. Staff in different business seem to be spraying every door handle in sight.
Well my first trip out of the house for a fortnight on Monday - the optician has cleared me to drive! - but only to get to his consulting room so he can take a look and hopefully confirm it. Ironic if I go and catch the plague then! Still so far no cases reported in the county.
I was in a cafe I frequent a couple of times a week. We were talking about overpopulation in general terms. I said that we were overdue a major pandemic, based on history. That conversation took place 5 months ago. How spooky is that !!!!
