Not exactly WW2 (more aftermath of ww2), so don't know what section best to post in, but thought this top bloke deserves a thread. Sad to hear that he died last week at the ripe old age of 101. Gained fame during the Berlin Airlift, after dropping Candy & Chocolate to children in Berlin via home made parachutes, earning him the affectionate name of the 'Candy Bomber' or 'Uncle Wiggly Wings' Also went on to do a lot more humanitarian work around the world for years after this.
