What is this male fascination with Nigella Lawson? I have absolutely no idea. No meat on 'er. On the programme, I've got to agree that the music was bizarre, happening more and more often that strange industrial electronica is played when someone's trying to talk. Ourbill, check out Dave Arnold with the Sherman & Comet, a million miles away from the Littlefield & Wheatcroft world, operates on an absolute shoestring but still gets results.

OK I'll give it a go tomorrow or tonight if the Comet & Sherman is on and the boss will let me! CSI and other tat might be on tonight if so no chance. In the words of Ian Drury Nigella can butter my bagette anytime, I much prefer Rachel the Eton Fool queen. It's a man thing Kitty.

Was thinking about Salvage squad... The reason I think I'm defending this programme despite it's large dollop of sattelite-ish flimsiness is I've only ever seen 2 other programmes that have covered my own personal fixation with the modern restoration of the vehicles. One was Salvage Squad and the M10, & the other was Bovington's 'Saving the Tiger' DVD. Spent so long trying to find out more about Wheatcroft's collection (having seen his FAMO and other vehicles at shows) that the quick shots round his storage yard were like gold-dust to me.
I've watched the Comet episode and half of the Panther one. Very interesting and watchable, its just a shame about the stupid filler shots of speeded up clouds every few minutes, but I taped it so can fast forward those bits. But on the whole anything to do with tanks is interesting and I'll never get tired of watching them drive around in mud!
Sherman one best yet. Already huge respect for the name of Mr Arnold goes through the roof after seeing him cut & shut an M4. (and the least wierd cut-shots so far )
Claire from the salvage squad is a man thing as well. I totally understand Claire. Hmmmmm, Axel and Jerry. Anyhoo....... I was fascinated by the Sherman, but why did we leave it half way through the restoration? WHYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY! I'll be off in about 50 minutes to watch the repeat.
I loved the Sherman episode despite only seeing a red-oxide painted hull at the end . I want to see some one create a cut and shut Sherman hybrid using an M4A1 hull front and and M4 rear, that would be interesting. I missed the Comet episode, pity because it's my favourite allied tank of WW2 but they'll be on again if UKTV Histroy's programming is anything to judge by

I'll be off in about 50 minutes to watch the repeat. I bet you they never finished it in the repeat as well! You would have to ask the broadcasters why they stoped half way through.
I was fascinated by the Sherman, but why did we leave it half way through the restoration? Maybe they hadn't finished it before the TV prog was made.
Then the film maker shsould have stuck with it! GRRRRRRRRRRRRR! Morse: Ha sodding Ha mate! :p Enjoyed the Hellcat episode, but more for the reunion with its Commander than anything. Now there was one happy bunny!
Enjoyed the Hellcat episode, but more for the reunion with its Commander than anything. Now there was one happy bunny! That was the only bit I saw of that one. Great bit of TV.
What is this male fascination with Nigella Lawson? You have to ask that? Serious question. Do you folks in the UK pay for broadcast TV?
Serious question. Do you folks in the UK pay for broadcast TV? Depends. Everyone with a TV MUST pay the delightful License Fee to fund the BBC. No choice on that. Think of it as money with menacies. Other than that there is the choice. Stick with terrestial TV so no other add ons. Go for digital, which everyone will have to do eventually, and you can choose monthly Sky or cable, or a one off payment for a Digital TV/box and get a set number of channels at no extra cost. Why do you ask?
