Today just became a fabulous day. Out of the blue I was contacted by a gentleman named Paul who lives in Strzelno, Poland, a POW camp listed on my Grandfather's Liberaton Report that I have never been able to find any information on, with the exception that it appears to be a work camp from Posen XXIB. Not only did he confirm there was a camp there, he had a picture of the camp with a German Guard and POW's in the background. Photo from: Spacerkiem po Strzelnie - cz. 49 - Strzelno moje miasto 3 - bloog.pl and Dragon72 This is fabulous information for me, hopefully it helps someone else as well. Cheers to Paul J (a new WW2talk member) Wayne
Thanks Tom, this has been a tough one, now I also know they had 3 shoemakers in the town, just need to determine which one (hopefully just one) was around during the war and I'll possibly know where he worked. Then I can go pick up the wages he's been owed since 1941 Wayne
