One of the biggest problems you wil have is finding decals. Swastika's are all but banned here in the old world, though you may have less nanny state laws (for a bit) in the US. Kev

Kev On the decal problem; You can now buy sheets of 'decal material' for your inkjet printer, find the graphic, shrink it to the right scale...& print it. Planning's required as you obviously can't print white (& the decal film is clear once removed from it's backing) so a bit of careful underpainting can be needed & you have to seal them a little more than usual but it does mean you can make the one you need with some effort. Or just try Hannants.
You're either a mind reader or you've read some of my posts expressing interest in the captured B-17's of the KG200 Luftwaffe unit. I have a bunch of pictures, and another B-17 unbuilt model laying around, but finding the correct swastika and Luftwaffe decals has been a challenge. Have you seen this illustration from Great Aircraft of the World published by Marshall Cavendish a few years ago. book was left up my Mum's by my brother , so I've nicked it.
unusual colour scheme. Not heard of this aircraft before. Be an interesting one to do. Have you tried finding out any more about it? Kev
Didn't think of looking it up Kev until you said. Just found this. B-17"Wulf Hound" (4) Luftwaffe Resource Group - B-17 Flying Fortress 303rd Honor Roll Date lost: 12 Dec 42 Pilot: Flickenger, P.F. Target: Rouen Aircraft: 41-24585 Wulf-Hound Squadron:360 Fate of Crew: 4 POW, 6 Evd Also this B-17G Captured B-17 (5)
Your B-17 looks great! Question: What is the manufacturer of that B-17 (Tamiya?) I have a B-29 Superfortress called the "Esso Express" with retractable landing gear and four gun turrets that can rotate. Your B-17 Looks pretty large. good paint though. Its hard to find B-17 Flying Fortress models here in the Philippines (But fighters are easy to find).
Here's my latest B-17 Milk Wagon - 708th Bomb Squadron, 447th Bomb Group. Milk Wagon set a record in the 3rd Division for 129 missions without aborting for mechanical failure.
