I don't recall the exact date although I remember it was between 2004-2006, I was reading a article that was reporting on a then recent government announcement. The Russian government basically accepted Stalin's role in defending Russia during World War II and was set to build various Stalin monuments throughout Russia. Given it is 2009, I would assume work has either finished or started on at least one monument, has anyone heard of this? Are their any pictures or GPS coordinates as to where they are being built?
Yes, I've heard several politics (maybe even prime minister) said that Stalin's role in ending war is significant but never heard about any Stalin monuments planned to be built.
