Hi here are some photo's of my fathers cousin 5384592 Pte William J Reynolds, he was captured at Dunkirk and as far as I know this is Stalag VIII/344, is there any way of finding out if he was on the forced marches?, and if anyone can name others on the photos, or info on the bands etc. It would be most helpful. Interesting to note we believe the scratched out figure is of a German Sentry, Thanks Attached Thumbnailshttp://www.ww2talk.com/forum/attachments/prisoners-war/25298d1266789168t-stalag-344-stalag-viiib-stalag-8a-image1-jpg http://www.ww2talk.com/forum/attachments/prisoners-war/25299d1266789168t-stalag-344-stalag-viiib-stalag-8a-image2-jpg http://www.ww2talk.com/forum/attachments/prisoners-war/25300d1266789168t-stalag-344-stalag-viiib-stalag-8a-image3-jpg http://www.ww2talk.com/forum/attachments/prisoners-war/25301d1266789185t-stalag-344-stalag-viiib-stalag-8a-image4-jpg
Not got any photos for you, I'm afraid, but my Uncle was also captured at Dunkirk and held at Lamsdorf, and I've got all of his documents, so here's some scanned documents and dogtags instead bob
Greats documents how did you get them. My grandads POW number for Stalag VIIIB was 221723 but his brothers number was 15966 for the same camp which is quite close to your uncle. I wonder if they ever met.
Hello Shaun, Thanks for the photos. I was looking for stalag VIIIB band photos to see if I could find this banjo. I believe I did! Regards, Marco
