I'm researching family history and would like to discover a little more about this ship. SS Stobart struck a mine off Aldeburgh Suffolk on 11th August 1916, resulting in the loss of the ship and four of the crew, one of whom was my wife's great grandfather. The ship was carrying coal on route from Goole to Jersey. It was crewed by 14. The mine it struck was placed there by UC, captained by Kurt Ramien. Thanks for looking at this thread.
