Horrible day out today, but finally have the garden under control, apple tree blossom not withstanding. Now to introduce some much needed colour:

Can see you don't have a dog, a destroyer of lawns!
Previous dogs used to pee when out walking but this one doesn't.

Waiting for the chance of the odd frost to subside before sowing more seed.
Trying Paddock Grass seed recommended by a local farmer.
Son in law calls it expensive bird seed!

    Thanks bamboo43
I wont go into why my Leylandii look so rough.
Mustn't say cruel things about Travelling folk, dressed as Tree Surgeons.
I''d be here all day explaining that.

In my own garden, a plant identifying app says these are anemones, likely a “windflower”.

First thing in the morning, still shady, so just snoozing:

    Wakey, wakey!

Well, this year's "third spring". I hope it stays for now. There is a saying here "the third time is true". Well, at least the number of coltsfeet has increased each time.

and spring has finally picked up speed and is progressing quickly. Wood anemones and lesser celandines

Good year for bluebells, lots on the banks under the trees around the estate.

Been shitfaced in a warm field with old mates after a day of banging red hot metal about with hammers.
Sure sign that Spring is here.
    Maybe even 'summer'.

Still getting greener here too and even some daffodils

But it is getting colder again, last week was warm up to Saturday, max temp. 16.5 to 21 deg. C, but today only 8.5 deg. Forecast for next three nights promises frost but a blizzard is cancelled, at most maybe some light snowing.

At last, the grass seeds are germinating.
Now we need some more rain!

Then de-poo the longer grass before mowing it.
    Remember to wear wellies!

    Welcome to the Jungle!
While I've been busy elsewhere for a month, the rain and sunshine have worked their magic.
All wooden fences have faded and still drying out
Only thing that hasn't grown in profusion is the new grass seed.
Now we can walk on what was a lawn with flower beds, the strimmer and mower have been working overtime.

    Clematis is struggling
    Orange Lillies
Welsh Poppies, Corn flowers, and Sage
    Raspberries and buttercups

Still have the plot to tackle the other side of the picket fence.
We have Geraniums and Tomato plants to put out this week,
once the greenhouse is clear more tomato plants will go in there.
We are normally self sufficient in Strawberries, Raspberries and Tomatoes each year
Rosemary, Parsley, Sage, Mint, Taragon for cooking.

Still need to trim the trees, especially the Sycamore. Missed out on getting them done in February/ March.
Hired a gardener to mow the front lawn, when he turns up.
Seems tree trimmers and gardeners are busy.

Now we are in our mid seventies its getting bit much but good to look at when its tidy, family can come and sit with us
under the Gazebo in a hot sunny Summer?????

    Doctors should be happy now,
    Do you go for walks?
    Do you do gardening?
Sorry Doc cant afford a Merc or an SUV have to slave away where we cant be seen, in our own garden.

For several days now, bird cherries have been blooming. The scent has been quite overpowering.

Explosion of colour from the lilies,
    Raindrops on the patio doors.

Not going out to take a photo, its raining too much.

Soon be knee deep again in mud, grass and brambles.

When does Spring end and Summer begin?
